Voya Investment Management
Client Portfolio Management Analyst
I currently work on the Equities team at Voya, where I turn market and performance data into stories that make sense for clients and internal teams. Most of my days revolve around building Power BI dashboards, writing commentary, and helping leadership understand what’s really driving returns and positioning.
Projects:
Monthly Performance Commentary Automation: Turned a manual reporting process into a few clicks, automatically pulling top contributors and detractors for each strategy.
Automated Daily Emails: Built a system that shares daily market and portfolio updates with the team.
Weekly Market Insights: Created a consistent equity market snapshot distributed across departments.
Commentary Dashboard: Designed an internal dashboard that tracks all commentary written across stocks and sectors.
Position Changes Dashboard (in progress): Developing a live view to track real-time portfolio shifts.
CVS Health
Retail Finance Analyst Intern
After my first internship, I was invited back to join CVS’s finance program, working on a fast-paced team focused on understanding what drives performance across stores and products. I spent most of my time digging into financial and sales data, building SQL queries, and creating Tableau dashboards to visualize key insights.
Projects:
Mental Health Scripts Analysis: For my final project, I analyzed mental health prescription data across CVS locations, used regression analysis to uncover the demographic factors driving demand, and presented my findings to senior leadership. (Fun fact: Utah had the highest proportion of mental health scripts!)
Bud Light Sales: Examined seasonal sales data to determine how releasing products earlier affected overall performance.
Shrink Findings: Identified trends in product shrink and created a dashboard to help teams spot potential loss drivers.
Aetna
Medicaid Data Informatics Intern
At Aetna, I worked on the data and compliance side, helping ensure state Medicaid submissions were accurate and aligned with regulatory requirements. It was my first deep dive into how data supports large-scale healthcare systems and public programs, and it gave me a real appreciation for data integrity and process improvement.
Brandy Melville
Sales Associate & Store Manager
Though not finance-related, my early jobs taught me a lot about responsibility, teamwork, and motivation. I started as a sales associate and was promoted to manager at 17, overseeing visual merchandising, store operations, and customer experience. It was where I first learned what it means to lead and communicate effectively in a fast-moving environment.
